Follow these eight steps to make the most of the Magic Actions app (your Personalized Home Movie Theater) experience in the Opera web browser and enjoy watching movies, Live TV, TV shows, HD and 4K videos. The app is available for download in the Opera extensions gallery, or you can also download and install it manually from our website.
Please use the latest release of the app, because we are continuously updating the extension due to a changes on YT.
The latest version of Movie Theater for Opera web browser is 7.8.5.1 (released on 22 March, 2019)
1. In Opera web browser, click menu and select Extensions or press Ctrl+Shift+E on Windows and Linux, or Command+Shift+E on Mac.
2. On the extensions tab, click the Developer mode button at the top-right of the page, so it changes to blue
3. Then click the Update button that appears at the top of the extensions page.
Note: If for some reason you can't update the extension, you can install the latest update manually from our website.
On the chromeactions.com website, the Magic Actions app—your Personalized Movie Theater—provides various functions, such as online picture editor, access to advanced options, and more, which may not work as expected if an ad blocker add-on is enabled. Please see the instructions for whitelisting chromeactions.com to avoid the app malfunction.
Often the app failures can be caused by incompatibilities with other installed applications and extensions. Try disabling apps and extensions one by one, to see if a particular app or extension is causing the problem. Then go to the YT website to check if your Personalized Movie Theater is working properly.
1. In Opera web browser, click the Extensions icon on the browser toolbar and select Manage extensions or press Ctrl+Shift+E on Windows and Linux, Command+Shift+E on Mac.
2. On the extensions page, click the Disable button for all extensions except the Magic Actions app.
3. Click the menu button and select Exit (Quit) or press Ctrl+Shift+X (Windows / Linux), Command+Q on Mac. It's important!
4. Open Opera, go to the YT website and check if the problem exists.
If you haven't updated your Opera web browser to the latest stable version, you not only run the risk of being more vulnerable to cybersecurity threats, but you're also missing out on many great new features and improvements. Moreover, your Movie Theater may not work properly if you are using the unstable build (Beta and Developer) or an old version.
1. In Opera web browser, click menu and select Update & Recovery…
2. The "Update & Recovery…" tab will open and Opera will begin checking for updates automatically.
In our experience, clearing the cache, cookies, and other browsing data can help solve many problems you may encounter while watching movies, TV shows, or 4k videos. To do this, we recommend that you use History Eraser, a small web browser extension that allows you to easily clear your browsing data.
1. In Opera web browser, press Command+Shift+Backspace on Mac or Ctrl+Shift+Del on Window and Linux.
2. The Clear browsing data dialog appears, select All time next to the Time range.
3. Select the options you'd like, then click the Clear data button.
Note: After clearing your cache, cookies, and other browsing data, you can get logged out of your online accounts.
The necessary permissions are added automatically when you install the app, but you can change them later, which could cause the app to stop working as expected. Check if the permissions are correct.
1. Right-click on the app toolbar icon and select Manage Extension…
2. On the app page, select the On all sites checkbox in the Site access section.
The app options and some of the functions we provide on chromeactions.com website may not work if JavaScript is disabled in the Opera web browser. Check that JavaScript is enabled.
1. Copy and paste opera://settings/content/javascript into address bar and press Enter.
2. On the JavaScript page, allow JavaScript globally or add chromeactions.com to the Allow list.
For various reasons, the app options file can become corrupted. For example, the app options are opened every time you launch the Opera web browser. Try reinstalling your Personalized Movie Theater.
1. Right-click on the app toolbar icon and select Manage Extension…
2. On the app page, scroll down and select Remove extension
3. A confirmation dialog appears, click Remove.
4. Click the menu button and select Exit (Quit) or press Ctrl+Shift+X (Windows / Linux), Command+Q on Mac. It's important!
5. Launch Opera web browser and install the app from the Opera extensions gallery or download and install it from our website.
