1. Always keep your Chrome updated

In order to ensure safety and stability, we recommend you use the latest stable version of Chrome. The extension may not work properly if you are using the unstable version (Beta, Developer, Canary) or an old version of Google Chrome. Check what is the latest stable version of Chrome.

How to update Chrome
  1. In Google Chrome, click the customize icon on the browser toolbar.
  2. Select About Google Chrome.
  3. The About Chrome page will open and Chrome will begin checking for updates automatically when you're on this page.

Note: If you're having problems updating Chrome, follow the instructions here

2. Use only the latest version of Magic Actions

Please use only the latest version of Magic Actions, because we are continuously improving features due to a changes on YouTube.

The latest version of Magic Actions for Chrome is 6.9.5.5 (released on May 11, 2017)

How to update extensions:
  1. In Google Chrome, click the customize icon and navigate to More tools.
  2. Select Extensions.
  3. On the extensions page, select the Developer mode at the top-right, then click on Update extensions now button.

3. Always Keep your Chrome clean and safe

How do I fix an issue on YouTube? In our experience, clearing cache, cookies, local web storage and flash plugin data helps to address an issue in 90% of cases. For that, you can use Click&Clean, a little app that allows for easy cleaning of cache, cookies and flash plugin data.
Note: Restart Chrome after cleaning up.

4. Check for conflicts with other installed apps

Various problems may be caused due to a conflict with some other installed applications, in particular for YouTube. We recommend disabling all the active extensions one by one (except Magic Actions) to see if a particular extension is causing the problem. Then go to the YouTube website to check if Magic Actions is working properly.

How to disable extensions
  1. In Google Chrome, click the customize icon and navigate to More tools.
  2. Select Extensions.
  3. On the extensions page, deselect the Enabled checkbox for all extensions except for the Magic Actions.
  4. Close Chrome completely by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Q or ⌘-Q (on a Mac).
    It's important!
  5. Open Chrome.
  6. Go to YouTube and check if the problem exists.

5. Repair preferences

Sometimes, the extension's preferences file may become corrupt. E.g. if the Magic options page opens every time at Chrome startup. This is due to known problems on Chrome's side, which are outside of our control. Try repairing corrupted files.
